Dog Grooming Services
Grooming services are by appointment only, but we can often accommodate same-day appointments. We try to groom every dog in our shop from start to finish, without interruptions to ensure the comfort of your pet, so we will call you before your pet is finished so that your pet can go home as soon as they are done. We offer one hour of complimentary daycare after your pet’s groom, but if you need more time to come and pick up your pet, additional daycare options are available for an additional fee.
To ensure the health and well being of all our canine guests, please bring your pet’s vaccination records with you to your first appointment. A current Rabies vaccination is required, according to your veterinarian’s recommendations. We also recommend that your pet be current on its Bordatella, Canine Influenza, Distemper and Parvovirus vaccinations as well.
Should you need to cancel or re-schedule your pet’s appointment, you may do so during regular business hours by calling 1(800) 823-1305 for our Arcadia Salon or Mobile grooming, or (424) 385-9841 for our Playa Vista salon. Please try to notify us if your plans change as soon as possible to avoid incurring an additional fee according to our store policy, which is as follows: Late Drop-Off Fee: $5/15 minutes; Same-Day Cancellation: $25 (Salon); Full Groom Amount (Mobile & Student Appts); No-Show: Total Groom Amount. Frequent cancellations and/or no-shows may result in a non-refundable deposit or pre-payment being required to book future appointments.

Dog shed a lot, and their skin produces grease, which coats each hair. As hair reaches the end of its growth cycle and falls out of the hair follicle, the hair can get stuck in the grease and cause a tangle. For curly coated dogs, the hair easily gets trapped within the curls and tangles together. If the tangle is not brushed out and the dead hair removed, the tangles twist and/or clump together and form a mat. If the mats are not removed, they twist down to the skin, and are very very painful for your dog. Mats can also cause things such as bruising, hair loss, skin irritation, wounds, infections, they can harbor parasites, and more. Depending on severity, we may be able to remove the mats using techniques that can preserve your dog’s coat, or the mats may need to be shaved out if they are too close to the skin. Your groomer can go over which options would be the safest and most humane for your dog, and what you can do at home to prevent your dog from getting matted again in the future. Please note that certain haircut requests may not be possible in the event of extensive matting.
