your pet in and discuss your pet’s groom with you. Thank you!

  • Our salon strives to be "Fear Free," which means that we try to keep your pet as stress-free as possible. In order to help your pet have a good experience, we may offer treats, praise, or stop or modify certain steps of the grooming process that cause your pet significant levels of stress. If you have any questions or concerns or would like to discuss any of your dog's potential fears or stress triggers, please notify your groomer during check-in. If your pet experiences any major difficulty during their groom, your groomer will call to notify you.

    The Pawlor @ West Coast Grooming Academy (WCGA) will take all necessary steps to keep your pet safe, however, due to the nature of grooming, accidents may happen. In case of emergency, I fully authorize West Coast Grooming Academy, LLC to seek veterinary care for my pet. I do not hold WCGA liable for any pre-existing conditions that my pet may have prior to grooming and fully understand that grooming may expose or aggravate any pre-existing conditions.
    DE-MATTING: I understand that due to the nature of the de-matting process, my pet may experience skin irritation, hair loss, or minor nicks or cuts. In the event of injury, I agree not to hold WCGA liable for wounds caused by the de-matting and mat removal process. I also acknowledge that mat removal may incur an additional fee.
    SENIOR & SPECIAL NEEDS: If my pet is a senior or has medical concerns or injuries, grooming may increase the pet’s stress, which could aggravate pre-existing or inactive conditions, causing them to become active and can result in illness, further injury or death. I agree to notify WCGA of any and all illnesses, injuries and pre-existing conditions and what can be done to avoid complications prior to grooming.
    FLEAS/PARASITES: I understand that upon the discovery of fleas, ticks or parasites, medicated shampoo will be administered which may potentially cause adverse reactions. I will not hold WCGA responsible for any such reactions due to the treatment process. I also acknowledge that treatment for fleas, ticks or any other parasites will incur an additional fee and will not guarantee the parasites will remain off. I acknowledge that to prevent re-infestation, I need to treat my home as well as my pet. WCGA also takes no responsibility for flea treatments administered at home, nor guarantees its efficacy post-grooming, as all flea medications are not equally effective.
    I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT MY PET WAS FULLY ASSESSED AT CHECK IN AND I AM AWARE OF ALL SERVICES THAT WILL BE PERFORMED. I AGREE TO PAY THE TOTAL PRICE THAT IS DUE UPON COMPLETION OF THE SERVICES LISTED, ALONG WITH ANY UNFORSEEN ADDITONAL COSTS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN OVERLOOKED.
